Known for her quick problem-solving skills, strong organizational abilities, and ability to thrive under pressure, Krystal ensures high standards of care while maintaining fiscal responsibility.

With more than two decades of nursing experience, Tracy brings both clinical expertise and heartfelt compassion to her role as Director of Nursing at Oakwood Care. Her healthcare journey began at just 19, when she joined the local fire department and served as a firefighter and EMT for ten years before becoming a registered nurse. Over the next 20 years, Tracy built her career in acute care, working in the ICU, ER, and OR settings. Along the way, she earned recognition as Employee of the Month for her patient advocacy and process improvement initiatives, and she was nominated for the DAISY Award for her exceptional patient care.

Tracy is deeply motivated by helping others—whether that means offering a hug, lending a listening ear, or empowering new nurses to reach their full potential. She has a passion for advocacy, ensuring that patients and residents receive the care and attention they deserve. Transitioning into long-term care has allowed her to focus on fostering a culture where both residents and staff feel supported, valued, and empowered.

Assisted Living Manager, The Courtyard Independent & Assisted Living

For over 40 years, Carla has dedicated her career to serving residents, families, and coworkers with compassion and integrity. Starting as an office manager at Hallmark Care Center in Mount Vernon, she later transferred to Clear Lake to be closer to her family. Eventually, she accepted the role of Assisted Living Manager at Oakwood, while continuing to perform her office manager duties. Her longevity in the field reflects both her commitment to excellence and her deep love for long-term care.

Carla is most proud of the trust she has built with the people she serves—tenants, residents, families, and colleagues alike. She goes above and beyond to assist with applications, benefits, and other resources, making sure those in her care have the support they need. Guided by a philosophy of lifelong learning, teamwork, and accountability, Carla leads with integrity and strives to ensure everyone feels valued and empowered.
